Getting a Taxi

It seems odd that I should mention this, however, make sure when you get a taxi that it is clearly marked and somewhat professional looking, because there are people that wait outside of train stations and airports that ask you "need taxi" and their car is somewhere else with nothing on it. This is a clear indication that they will try to take your money and RUN !!

Coming to Taiwan

The First thing you want do when you come to Taiwan is exchange your money. 

The current exchange rate is 

$1.00 U.S.D. (U.S. Dollar) = 28 NT (New Taiwanese Dollar), 

but, be careful to check the exchange rate in the newspaper in the Stock market section under currency. I say this because the value always changes and you might not get a good exchange rate if you are not careful. One day might be good, another day might be bad. Also do your own calculation, I don't want to saw you can't trust people, I just want you to be careful with your money, and protect yourself.
